Summary:
This paper presents the application of a dielectric resonator sensor to characterize glycerin solutions. Air and nine different concentrations were measured within a relative permittivity range from 1 to 78.3. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) were used to perform automatic classification with an 100% accuracy and the regression of both concentration and permittivity with a RMSE of 0.34% and 0.287 respectively.

Este artículo presenta la aplicación de un sensor resonador dieléctrico para caracterizar disoluciones de glicerina. Se midieron nueve concentraciones diferentes dentro de un rango de permitividad relativa de 1 a 78,3. Se utilizó el análisis de componentes principales (PCA) y la Support Vector Machine (SVM) para realizar una clasificación automática alcanzando una precisión del 100 %;. También se realizó una regresión para estimar tanto la concentración de glicerina como de la permitividad de la disolución, alcanzando un RMSE de 0,34 % y 0,287 respectivamente.
